Pep Guardiola has slammed his Manchester City side and the club’s supporters after their 4-2 win over Tottenham in the Premier League on Thursday night.
Manchester City trailed 2-0 at halftime but came back from the break to crush Antonio Conte’s side.
Julian Alvarez, Erling Haaland, and Riyad Mahrez [double] lifted Pep Guardiola’s side to five points behind Arsenal at the top of the table.
The Spanish boss was unimpressed with his side’s performance, saying they stand to lose another point with such a display.
He also criticized the fans, who booed the team at halftime when they were down 2-0.
“There is nothing that does not come from the stomach and the guts.” “Today we were lucky, but if we don’t change, sooner or later we will lose points again,” the former FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager told Sky Sports.
The manager said there was no passion, fire, or drive to win the game from minute one, adding that “it’s the same with our spectators; our fans had 45 minutes of silence.”
“They booed [at halftime] because we were losing.”
