Sadio Manè has now scored 100 goals for Liveprool

Sadio Manè has now scored 100 goals for Liveprool, only 16 players have scored more in the history of the club.

Sadio Mane celebrates his 100th #LFC goal in 224 appearances. He loves playing against Palace – he’s now scored in nine successive league games against them.

That’s a PL record against the same opponent. Previous best was Van Persie, 8 in a row v Stoke.

Sadio Mane today reached the milestone of 100 goals in all competitions for Liverpool FC.null

The No.10’s effort against Crystal Palace at Anfield brought up the landmark of a century since Mane joined the club from Southampton in the summer of 2016.

He became the 18th player to hit three figures for goals in Reds history – and the second in the current squad after Mohamed Salah – doing so on his 224th appearance.

Seventy-seven of Mane’s Liverpool strikes have come in the Premier League, with 22 netted during the 2018-19 season earning him the Golden Boot award.

The Senegal international has also bagged 19 times in the Champions League so far, twice in the FA Cup and scored two in the 2019 UEFA Super Cup final.

The reason Trent Alexander-Arnold is missing Liverpool vs Crystal Palace

The England international was a shock absentee from Jurgen Klopp’s starting lineup to face Crystal Palace at Anfield. James Milner instead started at right-back for the Reds, with Alexander-Arnold absent from not only the starting XI but the squad altogether.

The reason for that has now been revealed by the Liverpool Echo, who say Alexander-Arnold has missed out with illness.

It’s expected the full-back will be back for next week’s clash with Brentford and there is no suggestion of the defender contracting coronavirus.

That will be a relief for Liverpool fans who will have been fearing an injury for their starting right-back.
