Frenkie de Jong: ‘Sacking the coach will not solve our problems’

“No, I don’t think sacking the coach will not solve our problems,” Frenkie de Jong told reporters after the match against Benfica.

“I still believe in the manager, but.. I don’t know what the president thinks about this.

“We started awful in the Champions League, we have to win the rest of the matches in order to qualify.

“We didn’t play badly in the first half, we created a lot of chances and created a lot of danger. We have to be united as a group. We will get through this stage with the team’s unity.”

Having lost to Benfica 3-0, Barcelona find themselves in last place in the group, with six goals conceded and zero scored.
