Barcelona has been given a salary limit of only £85m by La Liga in their latest salary caps for the 2021/22 season.
This means Barca can only register a squad of players whose total salary is within this range.
Their cap amount is below the likes of Athletic Bilbao (£97m), Villarreal (£138m) and Sevilla (£173m).
Real Madrid (£638m) have the highest salary cap in La Liga and nearly 8 times that of Barca.
Barcelona’s low salary cap is due to their poor financial situation, after reporting losses of £413m last season and seeing their debt rise to over £1bn.
