Strange things happened in the Benfica v Barcelona game. First of all, the scoreline. Everyone knows that Barca are in a crisis, but few would expect them to be thrased 3-0 and outplayed by the Portuguese side.
Second, Marc-Andre ter Stegen. The usually reliable goalie wandered away from his spot between the sticks in the second half.
One could think the keeper went for an evening promenade on a fine Lisbon evening. The reality was slightly different: ter Stegen channelled his inner Manuel Neuer and ran towards the halfway line to intercept a Benfica attack.
But a Benfica player ran past him and fired a shot into the empty net.
