Former Liverpool player Jamie Carragher noted that Manchester City will continue to be a “huge problem” for Arsenal.
Pep Guardiola’s men came from behind to beat Tottenham 4-2 in the Premier League on Thursday night.
He noted that the citizens have demonstrated their ability to fight for results, which Arsenal should be wary of.
City trailed 2-0 at halftime at home to Spurs thanks to goals from Dejan Kulusevski and Emerson Royal.
But Riyad Mahrez netted a brace and Julian Alvarez and Erling Haaland also scored to secure a 4-2 win.
Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher says Premier League leaders Arsenal should be worried.
“I think Manchester City now have that thing that Manchester United had when I was a player,” Carragher told Sky Sports.
“I think since May they’ve been 2-0 down five times in the Premier League and they haven’t lost once.” They have won three times and drawn two games.
“There’s something special about them; we know they’re a great team.”
“It’s been a big problem for Arsenal this season, and it’s been a big problem for Liverpool in recent years.” I think tonight’s result for Arsenal will be a real blow.
Arsenal are still top of the Premier League table, five points clear of the Citizens.
Mikel Arteta’s Gunners are set to take on Manchester United in what will be a crucial game for both teams this weekend.
A loss to Arsenal would reduce the gap at the top of the table to just two points and increase the pressure on Mikel Arteta’s side, who are hoping to win the league for the first time since 2004.
