Manchester United finally holds its summer offensive reinforcement. The Reds Devils have just announced the arrival on loan of Wout Weghorst in Erik Ten Hag’s squad for the rest of the season. The Dutch international arrives from Burnley.
“Manchester United are pleased to confirm that Wout Weghorst has joined the club on loan from Burnley until June 2023. The Dutch striker has been on loan at Besiktas this season, scoring nine goals and providing four assists in 18 appearances” , informs the press release from the Mancunian club.
An acquisition that delights Manchester United fans who have given way on social networks, especially on twitter. Several Mancunian supporters believe that the 1.97m Dutchman is better than his predecessor, Cristiano Ronaldo.
“I feel privileged to join Manchester United. I have played against the club in the past and it is a fantastic feeling to now have the chance to put on the famous red shirt. I’ve seen United’s progress under Erik ten Hag this season and I can’t wait to start playing my part in pushing the team towards their goals,” Weghorst said after signing.
