Injury Woes for Manchester United and Sevilla Ahead of Europa League Quarter-Final

The Europa League quarter-final clash between Manchester United and Sevilla promises to be an exciting encounter, but both teams will have to navigate a string of injuries to key players.

For Manchester United, the absence of Marcus Rashford will be felt, with the forward being sidelined for a few games due to an injury picked up in their recent Premier League victory over Everton. However, the return of Anthony Martial could provide a much-needed boost to their attacking line-up. Scott McTominay, who has been a mainstay in United’s midfield, is also unavailable for the game due to injury.

The absence of Luke Shaw will also be felt by the Red Devils, with the left-back being withdrawn in their previous Europa League encounter against Brentford. However, there is some good news for United as Shaw is expected to return to the side soon.

Donny van de Beek, Alejandro Garnacho and Tom Heaton remain sidelined, but the latter two could make an appearance before the end of the season.

Sevilla, on the other hand, will be without Pape Gueye, who is ineligible to play in the competition after joining on loan from Marseille. Jesus Manuel Corona and Joan Jordan will also miss out due to injury, with the former having only made one appearance for Sevilla this season.

Despite the injuries to key players, both teams will still field strong line-ups for the game. Manchester United will be looking to build on their recent run of form and progress to the semi-finals of the competition, while Sevilla will be aiming to cause an upset and advance to the next stage.

Injuries are a part and parcel of the game, and both teams will have to find ways to cope with the absentees. The game promises to be an exciting encounter, and fans will be hoping for a thrilling spectacle on the pitch.
