Mauricio Pochettino gave an interview to the Spanish television channel Movistar+ on Tuesday. During the interview, he confessed that he still hasn’t forgotten a famous tirade by Pep Guardiola during the 2018/19 season when he was still coaching Tottenham.

“We saw Harry Kane’s team again, who score two or three goals every day for this team. There is Jose [Mourinho], with Manchester United. Each match is going to be tricky,” the Manchester City manager then launched. Words he would regret months later.

“That season, a few months before, we were fighting for the title against Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United. In a press conference, Pep said that there was Mourinho’s Manchester United and Harry Kane’s Tottenham, who were scoring goals every game. Look how it went. We knocked out Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-finals without Harry Kane. It’s karma,” added the Argentine coach.
