PSG Eyes Man City’s Laporte in £40m Transfer Bid – French giants Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly interested in signing Manchester City centre-back Aymeric Laporte this summer, with sources suggesting that the defender will likely leave the Premier League. Despite being under contract with City until June 2025, Laporte is said to have fallen out of favour with manager Pep Guardiola and has only started six Premier League games this season.

Football Insider recently revealed that Man City are open to selling Laporte at a fee of around £40 million, having paid £57.2 million to sign him from Athletic Club in 2018. With the club reportedly keen on RB Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol, Laporte’s departure would raise funds for that potential transfer.

However, PSG will not be Laporte’s only suitor, and his departure will surely attract attention from other top European clubs. As a player who has won four Premier League titles with City, the 28-year-old has demonstrated his ability to perform at the highest level.

If Laporte were to move to PSG, he would join a team currently at the top of Ligue 1 and aspire to win the Champions League. The move would also provide Laporte with the opportunity to work with PSG’s world-class squad, including Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, and Angel Di Maria.

While it remains to be seen where Laporte will end up, it is clear that he is a highly sought-after player with a bright future ahead of him.
