Hammers Ready to Splash Cash on Barcelona's Dest in Summer Transfer Window

West Ham Eyeing Barcelona’s Sergiño Dest for Summer Transfer – West Ham United are reportedly interested in signing Barcelona full-back Sergiño Dest, according to Spanish news outlet Fichajes. The Hammers are said to be one of the Premier League clubs keen on acquiring the services of the 22-year-old, who is currently on loan at AC Milan.

Dest’s loan spell at Milan has not been enough to convince them to go for a permanent move, and Barcelona has no interest in keeping him either. This means that the La Liga side will be looking to sell him during the summer transfer window.

West Ham has reportedly added Dest to their wish list for the next market and has enough money to convince both Barcelona and the player. The report adds that the player is valued at €12m by Transfermarkt, and Crystal Palace is also another English club that is interested in his services.

However, Fichajes suggests that West Ham must focus on securing their Premier League status before they think of going for the full-back. The Hammers are currently sixth in the Premier League and are in a good position to qualify for Europe next season.

Dest joined Barcelona from Ajax in the summer of 2020 and has made 28 appearances in all competitions for the club. He is a versatile player who can operate on either side of the defence and is known for his attacking prowess.

It remains to be seen if West Ham can beat Crystal Palace and other interested clubs to the signing of Sergiño Dest. The Hammers will need to maintain their good form in the league and convince the player to join them if they are to secure his signature.
